My students should trust the way of the Lord Buddha, focusing intently on each forward step. Don’t fret about lost opportunities of the past or anticipate future rewards. Such thoughts will only deceive you. Fight against any tendencies to laziness — don’t simply surrender to your pillow. Watch your mind carefully and search for the truth within your own heart.
